Telangana: Aliens told to pay Rs 65 lakh to 3 flat buyers

HYDERABAD: Hauling up Aliens realty firm for failing to fulfil assurances to hand over flats even after a decade of taking money, the State Consumer Commission has directed it to refund over Rs 65 lakh to three aggrieved buyers with interest. The panel also ordered it to pay Rs 1 lakh as compensation and Rs 10,000 as costs to the three customers.

The realty firm had promised to build a huge apartment complex ‘Aliens Space Station’ at Tellapur in Medak district in 2008.Calling it a clear case of deficiency in service the commission ordered Aliens to pay 20.84 lakh to Hemlata Kishor and 22.85 lakh to Hasmukh Mohan Babaria of Mumbai, and 20.60 lakh to Muralidhar Vasanabhi in Hyderabad with 9% interest for the last 10 years.
