Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a serious road accident in Celbridge, Co Kildare on Wednesday morning to come forward.
They are appealing to eye witnesses and those with footage for information following the tragic accident which left a teenager fighting for his life.
The collision involving a pedestrian and a car occurred at approximately 11.55am on the Aghards Road in Celbridge, a busy commuter town in Kildare.

Gardaí have confirmed that the pedestrian, a male in his teens, "sustained serious injuries and is currently in a critical condition at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown."
In a further statement they said: "Gardaí are appealing to any person who may have witnessed this collision to contact them. Any road users who were travelling in the area with camera (including dash cam) footage, is asked to make this available to Gardaí.
