A teenager has died after a horror crash while walking in Co Kildare on Wednesday.
The incident happened shortly before midday in Cellbridge.
The teenage boy was rushed to Connolly Hospital in Dublin where he was later pronounced dead.
Gardai are investigating the crash and are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident to come forward.
A garda spokesperson said: "The collision, involving a pedestrian and a car occurred at approximately 11:55am on the Aghards Road in Celbridge.
"The pedestrian, a male in his teens, received serious injuries and was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he later passed.
"Gardaí are appealing to any person who may have witnessed this collision to contact them. Any road users who were travelling in the area with camera (including dash cam) footage, is asked to make this available to Gardaí.
