A resident on the street told the M.E.N: "There has been a lot of emergency services about an hour ago, two fire engines, a couple of police vans, a couple of ambulances.
"This is a really quiet street where nothing really happens so it was quite out of the blue.
"The word between the neighbours is that it is something to do with fire.
"At the back of the street there's a little wooded area where it appears that has happened. There's a lot of kids that always hang around here just kind of wandering about.
"It appears they have been playing about in the woods. There was an air ambulance helicopter circling around for a good 20 minutes, and then it decided to leave."
