Teen author flooded with messages after helping LGBT+ community feel 'seen'

A Wirral teenager is celebrating the publication of her second novel.

Olivia Bratherton-Wilson, from Moreton, has written and released two books whilst juggling the pressures of A-Level exams. Without giving too much away, both novels follow two girls as they navigate their way through “loving each other despite misunderstandings and tragedies”.

The idea to begin writing the love story was sparked after Olivia’s GCSE exams were cancelled due to the pandemic and her therapist advised her to focus on something else. With a “drive to succeed” Olivia turned her attention to writing and the time spent doing so has certainly paid off as she has sold more than 100 kindle copies and 1,000 paperback copies and has been inundated with messages from the LGBTQ+ community thanking her for “woman-loving-woman” representation.
