Leading the charge for Team USA were Breanna Stewart and Jackie Young, who contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively. On the Australian side, Alanna Smith led her team with seven points.
Although the United States started strong, Australia managed to narrow the gap to a four-point lead, with the score at 18-14 in the first quarter. However, Team USA responded with an impressive 27-13 run to extend their lead.
