TDB kicks off RDI fund disbursal, backs startups across space, drones, biotech

The Technology Development Board (TDB), one of the two second-level fund managers for the Rs 1 lakh crore Research and Development Initiative (RDI) fund, has started disbursing the first tranche from its corpus.

TDB secretary Rajesh Kumar Pathak told ET that the board expects to disburse around Rs 500-600 crore during the current financial year. The first set of selected deeptech startups work across drones, spacetech, advanced batteries, and biotechnology.
