Taylor Swift US fans share advice on how to secure tickets for UK tour

Taylor Swift fans in the US have offered advice n how to get tickets to her see her live as she announces dates for the European and UK leg of her 2024 Eras tour. The 34-year-old has been travelling across America since March for the USA leg of her shows, with the popstar due to head to the UK and Ireland next summer.

The Shake It Off singer will be taking to the stage from June next year, with stops in Liverpool, London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Dublin and London. This part of her tour will commence May 9, starting in Paris and ending on August 17 at Wembley.

Getting tickets to her US shows sent fans into meltdown back in November when she first announced her tour, with Ticketmaster facing massive demand. Should it be anything like this for UK Swifties when her 2024 tickets go on sale next month, fans should already start preparing for getting their head in the game, as OK! reports.

Those hoping to catch a glimpse of the superstar in the flesh can now register for Taylor Swift The Eras Tour tickets ahead of them going on sale. Fans can sign up to each city’s official ticket registration page here, until Thursday, June 22 at 11:59pm (local time) in the UK, and on Friday, June 23 at 11:59pm (local time) in Ireland and Europe.

As news of Taylor's 2024 European and UK leg of her tour emerged this week, US fans rushed online to share their tips and tricks for securing a ticket. Marieeldrid tweeted: "I fought in the Battle of Ticketmaster in November 2022 for the Eras Tour MetLife tickets (and won), so here are a few tips on how to get tickets for the European dates."

Her tweet has since been viewed more than 3.5 million times, with 2.3k retweets and 33.3k likes. She continued: "Make sure your Ticketmaster (or Eventim, SeeTickets etc) account is complete with all your info before the sale.

"Add your card details in advance, ideally more than one card! Set up a PayPal just in case (my card payment didn’t work, so PayPal saved me)."

She also advised checking shows that are not sold through Ticketmaster, as they may be easier to secure, as well as only using one device and one window when tickets go on sale. Deciding in advance what you are willing to spend is also important, as prices and extra fees may add up or only the most expensive tickets may be left by the time you get through.

"Make sure you’re online and logged in 5-10 minutes before the sale starts," she added. "You CANNOT be late, or else you’ll be in the end of a queue with tens of thousands of people. You need to get in as early as possible."

Tickets for the most popular cities, such as London and Paris, will probably be the hardest to secure, so the fan suggested considering travelling to less popular cities if you really want to attend the tour. The fan also recalls waiting more than two hours in the queue to get her tickets and says to make sure your internet is stable and don’t be tempted to refresh the page.

"The goal is to see an actual number in the queue and not '2000+ people' ahead of you. Fun fact: if you pull up the page code, you can see the competition. I was behind 15.000+ ppl. But once you see an actual number, you’ll be on the ticket page in a few minutes," she went on.

She ended her post by saying: "Good luck besties, I hope your bank accounts are ready for this, your WiFi is strong, and your patience is stronger! Share any other tips you can think of. It’ll be pure traumatising getting these tickets but so worth it!

"And don’t get fixated on getting floor seats! There are truly no bad seats on the Eras Tour, and you’ll have a great time regardless of your spot at the stadium. You can also try to exchange them later or try your luck with.

"I guess I should add that this is mainly for European Swifties in Europe. If you’re considering coming from the US having already seen her on this tour, good luck with that but don’t expect a super warm welcome."
