Taylor Swift makes surprise appearance at Haim’s London show

Taylor Swift surprised Haim fans on Thursday night as she joined the band on stage at their sold-out London gig.

The rock band, comprising of sisters Alana, Este and Danielle Haim, were midway through performing their hit Gasoline at the 02 Arena when they stopped suddenly to introduce the Grammy winning singer, 32.

Introducing Swift, Alana began: “Wait, you guys. We’re in London, we can’t play London without bringing out a special guest.

“Because not only is this person that I’m about to bring out the most incredible singer, songwriter, producer, f***** amazing person all around, she’s one of our close friends,” as Swift walked onstage to applause.

The Blank Space hitmaker noted she hadn’t “been on stage in a very long time” but that “it’s very nice [to be back]”.

Swift added: “When I heard my girls were playing in London at the O2, I thought, I’m going to have to see that. And it looks like there’s about 20,000 other people who also thought that.

“So we had a thought. If we were to do some sort of mash-up, we could possibly maybe get you to sing the loudest you have sung all night.

“Which is a big challenge because you have been singing very loudly – extraordinary work.”

The pals performed a mash-up of Gasoline and Swift’s 2016 solo hit Love Story much to the crowd’s delight.

However, their coordinating stage outfits, which compromised of black tops and leather high-waisted trousers didn’t go unnoticed online.

Poking fun at their matching looks, the Wildest Dreams singer took to TikTok later in the evening to joke about copying the Californian sisters tour ensembles.

This isn’t the first time the friends have taken to the stage together as Haim were Swift’s special guests for her 1989 Tour back in 2014, also collaborating with Nelly for a rendition of Hot In Herre.

The American band also featured on Swift’s Grammy-winning album Folklore, providing backing vocals on No Body, No Crime.

The group is currently on their One More Haim Tour and returned to the UK for their O2 Arena concert following an epic set at Glastonbury Festival last month.

Meanwhile, Swift, has been keeping a low profile of late, but was recently spotted out in capital with boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
