Taylor Swift fans who are hoping to get their hands on presale tickets to the popstar's 2024 UK Era tour have been left "livid" after seeing Ticketmaster has already listed them as "limited availability". On Twitter, one Swiftie Lottie Gibbons fumed: "How is there limited availability already for Taylor Swift at Anfield before the presale?!"
The fan shared a screenshot of the Liverpool presale ticket listings on Ticketmaster, with each accompanied by a "limited availability" warning. It comes as the songstress is set to head to British shore next summer for the UK and Europe leg of her Eras tour.
The Anti-Hero singer will be performing at multiple stadiums next June and August. These include London's Wembley Stadium, Liverpool's Anfield Stadium, Edinburgh's BT Murrayfield Stadium and Cardiff's Principality Stadium.
But fans eagerly awaiting to hear from Ticketmaster on whether they have been successful in receiving an access code for the upcoming ticket presale or not may have to keep their hopes to a minimum. Even if they receive a code, this still does not guarantee they will get tickets, especially as fans point out that the presale ones are already at "limited availability".
In response to Lottie's tweet, many have reacted with anger and confusion. AbigailJourno nervously asked: "What does it mean?" Cherylwood_x fumed: "Just seen this! I’m livid!"
However, CharlThom4 theorised: "It could be because the presale will only have a certain number of tickets too. This isn’t the general sale."
TomLFC_ also claimed: "Essentially everyone who was successful in the ballot have got their tickets already, they’ll hit them next week but they’re basically already gone iygm."
On Wednesday, a lengthy email was sent out to everyone who registered on Ticketmaster for the presale event to inform them of several new changes to tickets and sales. The email begins by revealing that a "limited number" of registrants will now have the opportunity to access the ticket sale and everyone else will be placed on the waitlist.
It adds: "Due to the demand for these shows, and to ensure the maximum number of fans have the opportunity to access tickets, registrants will be randomly selected for the opportunity to access the ticket sale. For UK dates, ticket inventory will be split evenly between the official ticket agents Ticketmaster and AXS.
"If you are selected, you will be randomly assigned a unique non-transferable access code to EITHER Ticketmaster or AXS. Registrants who are selected to receive a code for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour ticket sale will have the opportunity to access the sale for the specific city they registered for.
"Access to sales will be limited to the specific shows that are on sale on a specific day. If you are selected, please read your email carefully to see which day’s on sales you have access to."
It continues: "All registrants will receive a further email from either Ticketmaster or AXS confirming their selected/waitlist status by 23:59 Friday 14 July. Successful registrants will be selected at random to receive access codes. If you are not initially selected, you will be placed on the waiting list to receive a code.
"If you are placed on the waitlist, and any further tickets becomes available, you may be sent an email to join the sale. Tickets will be sold on a first-come first-served basis while currently available inventory lasts."
