The Kansas City Chiefs are headed back to the AFC Championship game thanks to a huge road win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday evening. Matchups between the two squads have become must-see in recent years, especially in post-season matchups.
This was the first time that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have had to make the trip to Orchard Park for a playoff game, and Bills fans were understandably excited for the game. They also were pretty confident, talking trash throughout the week and at the game.

Obviously, trash talk is part of the game. It’s fun! Until it’s not, that is. Taylor Swift, pop star and girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was a popular target among Buffalo fans. Her face made a lot of posters and tweets during the lead-up to the game, with some fans even burning pictures of her at tailgates.
Well, the Bills fans left sad after their squad missed a field goal that would have tied the game late in the fourth quarter. Instantly, Swifties pulled receipts and referenced karma — also a song title of Swift’s — and something they’ve dubbed “Tayvoodoo.”
Essentially, Tayvoodoo is just the universe evening things out after unnecessary hate is leveled at the 12-time Grammy winner. This isn’t even the first time it’s happened this football season. Back in October, fans of the New York Giants booed an in-stadium ad for Swift’s Eras Tour movie in a game against the Seahawks.
Things didn’t go well for them, and the karma was swift.
