Taylor Swift announces Eras tour concert film

Taylor Swift is releasing a concert film of her Eras tour this autumn, to the delight of Swifties across North America.

While three million fans attended the concerts in person, millions more are set to experience it for the first time with the arrival of the film.

(Many fans who attended the concert will also be excited to relive the experience, no doubt.)

Announcing the film on Twitter, Swift wrote: “The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon.

“Starting Oct 13th you’ll be able to experience the concert film in theatres in North America! Tickets are on sale now at http://taylor.lnk.to/TSTheErasTourFilm.”

She added: “Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged. 1, 2, 3 LGB!!!! (iykyk).”

Tickets to the Eras tour were hard to come by, with resale tickets selling for thousands of dollars in the US.

Fortunately, tickets to the Eras concert film should be easier to come by, as tickets are (appropriately) priced at $19.89 (£15.70) and $13.13 (£10.36).

The film will also be played at least four times a day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at every AMC theatre in the US, giving fans plenty of opportunities to experience the Eras tour for themselves.

Taylor Swift (Stoked PR)

Swift began her tour in North America in March and finished the first leg in August. The singer will head to South America in November, before taking her tour to Asia, Australia, and Europe next year.

While the film is only showing in North America, UK-based fans will have a chance to see the concert live next summer, as Swift is heading to London, Liverpool, Cardiff, and Edinburgh next June.

Her London shows will take place on June 21, 22, and 23, followed by August 15, 16, and 17.

On August 29, it was revealed that Swift became the first female artist in Spotify history to reach 100 million monthly listeners.

She also revealed that her next album, 1989 (Taylor’s Version), will be released on October 27. It’s the latest album Swift has re-recorded, following the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) in July.
