The most common initials that are associated with Taylor Swift at the moment are probably TTPD, marking the recent release of her 31-song album, The Tortured Poets Department. But in her home, the initials TS rein supreme in a subtle way: monogrammed bath towels.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, a fan recently visited the global superstar's storied townhouse in Tribeca, NYC, and discovered that the singer-songwriter's downstairs bathroom (accessed via a secret door behind a bookcase, naturally) displayed monogrammed, monochrome towels alongside a Grammy award.
While the music award is a personal touch in itself, the bath towels are a slightly more accessible accessory for most of us.

Though embroidering is an ancient practice dating back to 30,000 BC, monogramming bath towels is an excellent way to turn an everyday object – particularly ones in muted or neutral colors – into trend-forward, statement pieces.
'Keeping a bathroom up to date with on-trend dècor and modern appliances will also naturally increase a property's value as potential buyers are less likely to think that they’ll need to renovate after purchase,' Kinloch says.
Apart from raising property value, monochrome accessories in the bathroom are a timeless choice, popular for their understated nature and versatility.
'Monochromatic color schemes, especially in bathrooms, are one of the most visually pleasing design choices one can make,' says Homes & Gardens' editor Jennifer Ebert. 'To ensure the space doesn't look too flat, employ lots of texture with accessories like fluffy towels and smooth surface tops.'
