The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives‘ Taylor Frankie Paul is reportedly getting her full salary from The Bachelorette despite the cancellation of her season.
According to TMZ, although Paul’s Bachelorette season had been shelved days before it was set to premiere, the Mormon Wives star is set to be paid her full salary for the show as she “fulfilled” obligations by filming the entire season before it was ultimately pulled from ABC’s schedule.
While the exact number has not been revealed, the publication reported that her salary for The Bachelorette was “in the low-to-mid six figures”, aligning with previous participants.

Why was Taylor Frankie Paul’s The Bachelorette cancelled?
ABC officially shelved Paul’s Bachelorette after confronting footage from a 2023 incident in Utah between her and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, was published.
In the video, shared by TMZ, Paul appeared to be throwing metal barstools at Mortensen during an argument which took place in 2023. Her daughter can also be seen in the footage, and can be heard crying.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” a spokesperson for Disney Entertainment Television said.
Paul’s Bachelorette was set to premiere on Sunday, March 22 (US time), but was ultimately pulled from ABC’s roster. The network hasn’t confirmed if it will air in the future.

At the time of the 2023 incident, Paul was arrested on domestic violence allegations. She pleaded guilty in abeyance to one count of aggravated assault. However, charges of child abuse, criminal mischief and domestic violence in the presence of a child were ultimately dismissed.
Shortly after the footage of the 2023 incident surfaced, a spokesperson for Paul told The Cut, “after years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm”, and that she “is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritises her family’s safety and security”.
Separate to the footage and the 2023 incident, a spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department recently confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that there was an open “domestic assault investigation” involving Paul and Mortensen, citing that “allegations have been made in both directions” and that authorities contacted “involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th”.
Taylor Frankie Paul under investigation for third domestic violence allegation
Now, a spokesperson for the West Jordan Police Department confirmed to NBC News that Paul is being investigation for domestic violence allegations linked to an incident Mortensen claimed took place in 2024.
The spokesperson confirmed that authorities are reviewing multiple videos “connected to the alleged event to figure out details and timelines” and have not released specific dates as investigations are ongoing.
Police currently only have Mortensen’ account, and have asked Paul to either submit a written statement or sit for an interview to help corroborate details in Mortensen’s report.
Representatives for both Paul and Mortensen have declined to comment on the newest investigation and no charges have been filed at the time of writing.
Season five of Mormon Wives has also been put on hold as investigations continue. While Hulu has yet to release a statement regarding production, fellow Mormon Wives star Mikayla Matthews confirmed the pause during an Q&A on her Instagram Stories, revealing, “It was a decision that all us girls came up with and agreed on”.

“We didn’t feel comfortable filming with everything that was happening,” she penned.
It’s not known when production will continue for the hit reality TV show. However, insiders have claimed that a spin-off is in the works.
