The Jets have been retaining some members of their offensive coaching staff, including offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and offensive line coach Keith Carter. One member who will not be returning is running backs coach Taylor Embree, per SNY’s Connor Hughes.
Sources: #Jets RB coach Taylor Embree will not be returning to the team next year.
Embree helped develop Breece Hall into one of the game’s best backs despite inconsistent line play. Was one of Robert Saleh’s untouchables when Nathaniel Hackett was hired.

Under Embree in 2023, Breece Hall rushed for almost 1,000 yards and totaled 1,585 yards in a season in which he was coming off an ACL tear from October 2022.
The Jets were reportedly interested in former Panthers running backs coach Duce Staley to fill the position but that will not happen as Staley will be joining Kevin Stefanski’s staff in Cleveland.
Jets looked into hiring Duce Staley to replace Embree but sounds like he’ll be going to the Browns. https://t.co/xeCGYY4HMY

Or perhaps not quite yet. Josina Anderson reported Staley had dinner last week with head coach Robert Saleh and visited the facility.
Adding Detail: Former #Panthers assistant head coach & running backs coach Duce Staley visited the #Jets facility last Thursday & had dinner in the area with HC Robert Saleh, per sources. The team has a running backs coach vacancy now with Taylor Embree out at said position. pic.twitter.com/oD6jhNHGit
