Taxi driver seeks Rs 3,000 for phone left in car, what Bengaluru police did next surprises everyone

A man visiting Bengaluru on a business trip with his manager has recounted how the Chikkajala police helped them recover a misplaced mobile phone after a driver allegedly demanded Rs 3,000 to return it. The man shared his experience in a social media post, describing how repeated attempts to retrieve the device failed before police officers intervened and helped resolve the dispute.

According to the man's account, he and his manager had claimed a Rapido ride to Yelahanka after work to try a Mandi restaurant. Upon reaching the eatery, his manager realised that he had left his phone inside the vehicle. When they contacted the driver, he initially denied having the device but later acknowledged that it was with him, the man said.
