MUMBAI: In the midst of the raging pandemic, the Tata Memorial Centre—the country’s premier cancer care centre—raised almost Rs 75 crore in the past two years to not only offer free treatment to all children under 18 years of age at its Parel hospital, but also for some treated at its relatively newer set-ups in Varanasi and Guwahati.
Data shared by the TMH and ImPaCCT Foundation on the occasion of International Childhood Cancer Day on Tuesday showed Rs 34.9 crore was raised in 2020-21 and Rs 39.5 crore in 2021-22.
