Here is your Tottenham morning digest for Monday, January 31.
Lyon in advanced talks for Ndombele transfer
Lyon are in advanced talks to re-sign Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham on loan until the end of the season, Sky Sports states.
The Frenchman has been outcasted from Spurs having been booed off in the FA Cup third round victory against Morecambe, now finding himself surplus to requirements, and was heavily touted for a move to Paris Saint-Germain before talks broke down.
A return to Ligue 1 is on the cards, however, with Lyon pushing to land the midfielder who shone during his initial stint at the club.
Joe Rodon poised for Brighton
Dan Burn's imminent move to Newcastle United could open a door for Joe Rodon to gain regular minutes, with an opportunity at Brighton potentially opening up for the Welshman.
The Seagulls are reportedly eyeing Rodon for a late move, while the player himself is keen for a transfer, either on loan or permanently, as he looks to secure more regular opportunities - particularly with a potential World Cup venture with Wales at the end of the year.
Interestingly, with Spurs set to face Brighton in the FA Cup next weekend, Rodon's debut for Brighton, if a move was to materialise, could come against his former employers.
Spurs offered Ousmane Dembele
Barcelona have made it clear that Ousmane Dembele's future at the club is at an end, after he rejected the offer of a new contract, and they want his departure to occur immediately rather than at the end of the campaign when his contract expires.
The Premier League is heavily touted to be his destination, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal all mentioned as suitors at some point in recent weeks, but it's now stated that Spurs could be in the lead for his services.
Antonio Conte is seeking reinforcements for his forward contingent this month and Dembele could be the ideal fit.
