Tanaiste Micheal Martin called for a security review at Leinster House following a break-in.

A 16-year-old was apprehended last Saturday in connection with the incident. The Irish Mirror revealed the teen carried out three break-ins in a month-long spree – but was not spotted in two of them.

Speaking in Wicklow, Mr Martin said: “Clearly security does need to be improved. I’ve read some of the commentary on this story. It’s my understanding it’s a young teenager.
