In a recent game between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Rays fell short of achieving a combined no-hitter when Arizona's Corbin Carroll broke the streak with a leadoff single against Tyler Alexander in the seventh inning.
Carroll managed to hit a shallow ball to left field, narrowly escaping a bare-handed catch attempt by shortstop Taylor Walls. Following Carroll's hit, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. added to the Diamondbacks' momentum with another base hit.
