COIMBATORE: The State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) has decided to launch a courier service from August 3, a move that is expected to give stiff competition to private omni bus operators.
“We are operating 58 buses to various destinations from Coimbatore, including 15 to Chennai, 12 to southern districts, eight to Bengaluru and seven to Kerala from the Tiruvalluvar bus stand at Gandhipuram. People can send motorcycles, engineering goods, motors and wet grinders to those destinations,” said an SETC official.
