Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin to launch seven programmes on Tuesday

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin will launch seven programmes, including expansion of free breakfast scheme to government school students in other parts of the state, and lay foundation stone for 44 hospitals at Rs 1,136 crore, distribute orders for jobs and welfare schemes.

An official release said the chief minister will launch a special nutrition programme of the social welfare department to ensure children’s growth was healthy. Enhancement of monthly aid to third gender to Rs 1,500 from Rs 1,000, house site patta to the differently-abled on a priority basis, memorandum of understanding with private agencies to get the conservancy labourers become entrepreneurs, are the other programmes.

The state government has been implementing numerous programmes on the basis of “development for all, development of all sectors, development of all districts, development of all communities,” the release added, pointing to various schemes such as free bus ride for women, Pudumai Pen, Nan Mudhalvan, Namma School Foundation, Illam Thedi Kalvi, Ennum Ezhuthum Iyakkam, 1.5 lakh agri power supply connections to farmers, Ungal Thoguthiyil Muthalamaichar, Kalaignar library in Madurai and welfare board for non-resident Tamils.
