New Capital Breakfast host Tallia Storm says she’s getting used to getting up early in the morning for her radio show - but admits that it's the time she's normally going to bed.
And the presenter, who graced the red carpet at Pride of Scotland on Thursday night, admitted she tried to pull an all nighter during her first week and instantly regretted it.
Tallia, who was based between London and Jersey before her new job, said: “I’m back here now and back at capital FM from six am to ten am. "I’m up tomorrow at 4am. I’m used to come home at four but now I’m up at 4am, and it’s a bit of a jet lag thing.”
Tallia was at Pride of Scotland with her Housewives of Jersey star mum Tessa Hartmann and artist dad Sascha Hartmann and she also performed at the annual event to recognise Scotland's biggest unsung heroes.
But it's doubtful she painted the town red afterwards after her last experience of pushing the boat out before a shift.
She added: “I stayed up after the Summertime Ball in London and I literally regretted it. We filmed at Leicester Square. I literally left the club at 4am and rolled into work at 5am.”
Tallia’s mum Tessa also helped her get into the swing of things by driving her to work for the first week of the Capital job in Scotland because she ‘didn’t trust her'.
Tessa said: “I did the first week with her. I came up to Scotland and drove her to work. This is momager goals at 5am.”
Tallia, who presents Breakfast alongside Fat Brestovsci, was delighted to be at Pride of Scotland and meet all the deserving winners.
She added: “It’s incredible shining a light on all the unsung heroes. It’s really important because, yes it’s glamorous, but we are celebrating the chore of the people that make a difference. I was speaking to the ambulance men upstairs and I was hearing their stories and I was like, “These guys are the backbone of the whole operation.”
