I just really wanna play Grand Theft Auto 6, man. Or, at least see it in action in some form. This back-and-forth and mystery about when we'll see it next is getting tiring.
But there is some good news. In an interview with YouTuber David Senra yesterday, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed that GTA 6 will actually launch on Nov. 19, which should hopefully assuage any lingering fears that it will be delayed again.

And who can blame anyone for being afraid of that? Originally, GTA 6 was due to drop sometime in 2025. It got delayed until May 26, 2026. And then, last November, Rockstar announced that it was again being pushed all the way to Nov. 19, 2026. And that's where we stand now, with Zelnick saying that it's happening.
Personally, I wasn't all that worried about a delay this time. Rockstar seems confident that the game is coming out in exactly six months from tomorrow. My main concern, as I mentioned, is just when we'll actually get new information about it.
Last week, news circulated that major retailer Best Buy had accidentally let it slip that GTA 6 pre-orders were going live today, May 18, leading many to believe we would finally get that long-awaited trailer three and maybe even some gameplay. Unfortunately, the saga continues.
Today, Rockstar Games' normal time of posting on social media at 9am CT came and went in silence. And now, another retailer's internal email suggests that "Best Buy got it wrong and no pre-orders will be launching today," according to a post on GTA Forums. Well, shit.
I really thought we were almost out of the woods, but alas, we are in the weeds yet again. This is exhausting. But with the Summer Game Fest and gaming showcase season of June looming, we have to believe that SOMETHING is coming soon, right? Right?! I don't know anymore.
I'm a GTA fan myself (who isn't?), and as a gamer, it behooves me to be in the loop on what the hell is going on with this biggest-game-of-all-time. And as someone who works in games media, it's actually a really important part of my job and future, so I am with all of you out there who are sick of waiting.

Either way, at least Zelnick's interview could maybe allow people to pencil in that sick day on Nov. 19 for real this time.
