PRAYAGRAJ: A day after the city witnessed widespread violence following Friday namaz, state’s industrial development minister and BJP MLA from Allahabad South assembly seat, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi held talks with the DM, SSP and ADG where he directed them to take strict action against those who tried to spoil the peaceful atmosphere of the city.
Nandi said, “Prayagraj is a holy city and a city of Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb. Here, lakhs and crores of people, who come for Magh Mela, Kumbh and Maha Kumbh are welcomed and greeted by people of every religion and sect and not a single incident happens. However, under a well-planned conspiracy, unsocial elements tried to disturb the identity and peace of Prayagraj.”
