Switzerland rejects hard right push for stricter definition of neutrality

Swiss voters have rejected a proposal to adopt a more restrictive form of neutrality, championed by the hard right, which would have blocked their ​country from cooperating with NATO or impose sanctions.

Voters rejected by 70.1 percent a proposal to enshrine a definition of neutrality in the Swiss constitution that was put forward in a referendum Sunday.
