Swiggy launches 24x7 AI assistant Guru for restaurant partners

Swiggy has launched Guru, a 24x7 AI-powered business assistant for its restaurant partners, aimed at helping them make data-driven decisions, manage operations and improve sales through a single conversational interface.

The platform is being rolled out in over 720 cities and will be available to more than 2.7 lakh restaurants, ranging from neighbourhood kitchens to multi-outlet chains.

Guru is said to allow restaurant partners to manage their advertising and discount campaigns, analyse sales performance and resolve operational queries through chat. The interface supports more than 20 vernacular languages, including Hindi, Kannada and Telugu.

According to Swiggy, the AI assistant can analyse a restaurant's full sales funnel, including GMV, orders and average order value (AOV), along with more than 30 other metrics tracked over time.

It can identify areas where a restaurant's performance is falling short and provide recommendations on how to improve them.

Restaurant partners can also use Guru to start, review and modify advertising campaigns through chat prompts, as well as access detailed payout information, including tax reports and payout summaries.

Guru also provides menu-level insights by analysing category performance and identifying what is working for individual restaurants.

Partners can use the assistant to add menu items, generate descriptions and identify top-selling dishes, helping them optimise their menus based on performance data.

“Having partnered with restaurants for over 12 years, we understand the operational demands and constant multi-tasking that our partners navigate every single day,” said Rohit Kapoor, CEO, Swiggy Food Marketplace.

“With Guru, we are introducing an intuitive, AI-first assistant that redefines daily restaurant management, providing 24x7 support, faster query resolution, and actionable performance insights that help grow their business,” he added.

Swiggy added that Guru is part of its broader effort to give restaurant partners access to real-time business insights and tools aimed at streamlining operations and improving profitability.
