Sweet scent of success at the seaside as The Business Day returns in the flesh for 2022

The Business Day is back as a live in-person event, with Jo Malone CBE set to inspire in 2022.

The founder and creative director of Jo Loves will headline the Humber Business Week finale at Bridlington Spa, where almost 700 leaders of industry and commerce are expected.

Taking place on Friday, June 10, it will once again be hosted by Gyles Brandreth, having compered the live event previously - and virtually, albeit still in the venue - in 2021.

Promoted as a day of insight and discovery, previous speakers have included Lord Sugar and Bob Geldof.

Other names confirmed for the 2022 event include economist, board member and best-selling author Noreena Hertz, who was named by The Observer as “one of the world’s leading thinkers” and by Vogue as “one of the world’s most inspiring women.”

Sir John Jones, regarded will follow, described as one of the most entertaining, inspiring and sought-after speakers on the global educational stage, with Darren Farley completing the line-up as ‘the number one football impressionist in the UK’.

Stephen Parnaby OBE, event director said: “We are delighted to be returning for an in-person event this year with an incredible line-up of speakers and breakout sessions throughout the day, bringing business leaders together for an inspirational day of discovery and insight. We are very grateful for the support of local businesses in helping to make this a fantastic event which is the culmination to Humber Business Week.”

Jo Malone has been described as an ‘English scent maverick’ and the woman responsible for creating some of the world’s most loved fragrances.

Recognised for her industry expertise, she regularly shares her brand-building experience with audiences around the world, highlighting her entrepreneurial journey.
