Swansea Triathlon is back this weekend and hundreds of people are excited to take part - not to mention the hundreds more that are looking forward to cheering on their family members, friends and colleagues from the side-lines. The annual swimming, cycling and running challenge will swoop across the city on Sunday, May 29 with competitors taking part in a 750m swim, a 20km bike ride and a 5k run past some of the most beautiful sights in Swansea.
The Swansea 5k run is also taking place this Sunday, whilst The Swansea Swim event, organised swim races of 3km, 1.9km and 750m, are set to take place on Saturday, May 28. Inevitably, such a large-scale event needs appropriate safety measures in place to help keep competitors and spectators safe.
With this in mind, roads used in the triathlon and the surrounding areas will be closed to the public, so motorists are advised to plan their journeys early if they're going out in the car this weekend.

Organisers have confirmed which roads will be closed on the day of the Swansea Triathlon. It should be noted that "road closure times are approximate" and are subject to change. A "sweep vehicle" will trigger the roads to reopen again, whilst diversions will be in place to help mitigate disruption. Get Swansea stories straight to your inbox with our newsletter.
