Swanky new Edinburgh beer shop to arrive in Leith as owners finally get the keys

A new Edinburgh beer shop is set to open on Leith Walk after a local business announced they would be opening their second site.

Speaking to their customers on social media this week, Cornelius Beers shared the news that they had "finally" got the keys to their new store on Leith Walk, which is hoped to open soon.

Selling a range of unique cans, beers and wines, the Leith Walk site will be the second from the local company, who also run a slightly larger store on Easter Road.

First announcing their plans for a second store earlier this year, Cornelius said that they had been waiting on redevelopment building works finishing up before they could get into the new shop.

Just over three months later, the brand shared an image of the new storefront, which will soon be home to a "shinier, swankier operation" than their Easter Road branch.

Speaking on their website, Cornelius said: "The new gaff is in Leith proper (128 Leith Walk to be precise) and will be a leaner, shinier, swankier operation than the mothership.

"It’s about half the size of the Easter Road shop, so it will have to be a more focussed operation with a tighter range (but I am looking at every possible way to maximise shelf space)."

An official opening date is still to be announced, however you can find more information here.
