A suspected attacker has been named after an assault in Southport earlier this year.
Merseyside police have charged Joseph Thomas Savage with assault causing grievous bodily harm. A man, in his 20s, was attacked on West Street on May, 29.
The 28-year-old, of King Street, Southport, has now been charged in connection with an assault. The victim suffered an injury to his face and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Joseph Thomas Savage will now appear at Liverpool Crown Court, on Friday, January 13, 2023.
A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "A man has been charged in connection with an assault which took place in Southport earlier this year. On 29th May it was reported that a man in his 20s was assaulted on West Street and suffered an injury to his face. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
"Joseph Thomas Savage, 28 years, of King Street, Southport has been charged with assault causing Grievous Bodily Harm and will appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday 13 January 2023."
