Suspect named after huge cannabis farm found in Dovecot

A man has been charged with drugs offences after a cannabis farm was found in Dovecot.

On Friday, June 9, police carried out a warrant at a property on Finch Road. At the scene they found that a large cannabis farm had been grown which spanned across six rooms.

Altogether 354 cannabis plants were seized and a 26-year-old man was arrested. The suspect, Hung Nguyen, has now been charged with abstracting electricity without authority and producing cannabis.

Nguyen appeared at court on Saturday, June 10, and will be remanded in custody until he attends Crown Court on Wednesday, July 7.

A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "A man has been charged after a cannabis farm was seized in Dovecot. Hung Nguyen, 26, of no fixed abode, has been charged with abstracting electricity without authority and producing a controlled Class B drug (cannabis).

"He appeared at Liverpool Magistrate’s Court on Saturday 10 June and has been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday 7 July. Officers carried out a warrant on Friday 9 June at a property on Finch Road and found a cannabis farm containing 354 plants spread across six rooms."
