Susanna Reid confronted bosses over string of errors on GMB

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid was reportedly not happy and walked off the ITV set after a number of errors "made the show look stupid".

National reports suggest she was furious at several issues that went on in the show. This includes a number of spelling mistakes, such as the word "remembering" being spelt incorrectly during a story about a death.

Other issues include the incorrect date being shown on screen and also the name of a news correspondent appearing incorrect on a report about the war in Ukraine; Ben Chapman was incorrectly labelled Ben Champan, reports The Mirror.

Talking to The Sun, a source said: "She [Susanna] made her feelings very clear." According to insiders, since the exit of co-host Piers Morgan in 2021, Susanna has felt more responsibility to ensure the standards of the show don't slip.

The source said the presenter's feelings has led to bosses sending emails out to staff members. The source continued: "Susanna is totally professional and just wants high standards — as Piers or any other presenter would have done. The last thing anyone wants is her walking away in anger."

Susanna has been on top form on the show this week, being praised by viewers for her tough questioning of Matt Hancock. The two went head to head on Wednesday's Show, with fans taking to Twitter to share their delight at her interrogation of the MP.

Alongside host Richard Madeley, Susanna questioned the former Health Secretary on a number of issues, including his huge pay packet for appearing on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.

She also left him tied up with his words as she asked about whether his lockdown antics were in fact against the law. Having details on hand, she pressed him on the subject, much to the delight of the viewers at home.

The Mirror has contacted representatives for GMB and Susanna for comment.
