Susanna Reid has shared the “excellent” weight loss tip given to her by world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury.
Prior to the Covid pandemic, the TV presenter, 51, lost an impressive 2.5 stone after quitting alcohol, but found the pounds creeping back on following a “lockdown slump”.
During Wednesday’s edition of Good Morning Britain, she told how the sportsman, 33, advised her to stop putting milk in her coffee, a rule she says she is still adhering to.
Interviewing the Gypsy King alongside co-host Richard Madeley, she said: “We often have a joke about weight, I’m always asking you for tips.
“You told me to stop having milk in my coffee and it was an excellent tip.”
She revealed that there was a further piece of advice from the dad-of-six that she hadn’t been as successful following, however.
She explained: “Unfortunately I can’t stop with the takeaways in the evening.”
Fury had pledged to hang up his gloves for good in April after his KO of Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium left him undefeated and with £150million in the bank.
He recently made a retirement u-turn however and confirmed to Reid that he is back in training after she complimented him on his physique.
“Thank you very much for the compliment, Susanna. I am back in full training twice a day,” he said.
“I do it for my mental health and mental wellbeing. I’m feeling really good.”
“Very fit, very focussed, very determined,” he added.
