Susanna Reid says she's 'perfectly happy with my own company' but reveals one challenge

Susanna Reid, 52, has reflected on her relationship status and why she's "perfectly happy with her own company" as she shared all on her daily routine with her early morning wake up calls as host of Good Morning Britain.

The ITV presenter wrote: "My mornings are intense with the adrenaline of live news, so switching off is hard.

"I’m perfectly happy with my own company — I talk to people all day, I have a terrific team and I love my close-knit family. When the boys leave home, I know that's going to be challenging."

"In the evening I like gentle TV, nothing gruesome. A bath is a must, it completely de-stresses me. On a good night I switch the lights off at 10pm and I'm asleep within minutes," she told The Sunday Times Magazine.

The Good Morning Britain presenter's last known relationship was with Crystal Palace F.C. chairman Steve Parish, 57, who she dated for nine months from August 2018.

She shares sons Sam, 20, Finn 18, and Jack, 17 with ex partner Dominic Cotton, 55, who she was in a relationship with for 16 years between 1998 to 2014.

Susanna has spoken out previously on why she chose not to marry her previous partners.

Susanna previously explained on GMB in 2021: "It was a personal choice. It's a bit of an old-fashioned idea that children are 'illegitimate' if you're not married. Children are legitimate, whether you're married or not!"

While in a relationship with the Crystal Palace F.C. chairman, Susanna was asked whether she would one day tie the knot.

"I've never wanted it. I’ve never fantasised about the big day. It was never my ambition to be married," she told The Sun.

"I am very, very happy at the moment, but I don't want to be married. No, no, no. I think the focus should be on the relationship."
