The approach of a new year often sparks a wave of predictions - but here's hoping Susanna Reid's doesn't come to fruition.
The Good Morning Britain host thinks that former PM Boris Johnson, 58, might sign up for the 2023 series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, encouraged by the success of his former Health Secretary Matt Hancock.
Speaking on today's episode of BBC political show Laura Kuenssberg on Sunday, she mused the seemingly narrowing line between political and media careers.
She said: "I have a feeling that Matt Hancock will start making pitches for things like your job Laura, and we might see Boris doing I’m A Celeb considering what an extra profile that gave [Matt Hancock]."
"That would be quite a spectacle," smiled Laura. "Goodness me."
Matt Hancock was a surprise entry to this year's show, with many viewers angry that he was cavorting on TV after his policy making and PPE deals left their loved ones at risk - or dead - during the 2020 coronavirus outbreak.
There was further drama surrounding the married politician when he was pictured snogging and grabbing the bum of his married aide, Gina Coladangelo, shortly after moving the UK into deeper lockdown and social distancing restrictions. The pair have since left their marriages to start a new life together.
Susanna isn't the only one who has had a vision of BoJo chomping down on a camel's anus and being dunked in gunge and cockroaches. In September, Coral slashed the odds of the blonde dad-of-eight entering the Aussie jungle before 2024.
Coral’s John Hill said: “Although there is some talk of Boris making a return to Number 10 in the near future, our odds suggest there is a greater chance of the former PM being on I’m A Celeb than serving a third term in office."
If Boris did take part in the ITV show, he would be following in the footsteps of his former Health Secretary, and his dad, Stanley, who starred in the 2017 series.
