Comment...
Victor Leonard, chairperson of SuperCupNI admitted they are expecting bumper crowds at the tournament.
He said: “We have faced a challenging number of years as a result of the pandemic but when you see the quality of teams we have attracted to the tournament, it is testament to not only the hard work of the volunteers behind the event but the teams that are attending who firmly believe we can offer a high-quality experience that benefits their players.
“Our Multi Match Ticket has proven to be hugely popular in recent years and this will give ticket holders a chance to access all matches except for the six Elite games and finals at Coleraine Showgrounds and Ballymena Showgrounds.
“Football fans will have access to 30 matches a day and we know from the number of people who have bought the Multi Match Ticket in the past that it is very well received and represents tremendous value for money.”
Elite Section
This year’s tournament will feature an exciting Elite section with teams from Manchester United, Liverpool, Valencia and Hertha Berlin taking part.
Leonard admitted interest has been high in those wishing to watch the stars of tomorrow from some of Europe’s most prestigious clubs.
He added: “Last summer was one of the best attended tournaments in recent years and from the moment we announced the Elite section we have been inundated with enquiries from people wanting to buy tickets for the games.
“We expect interest to be substantial for these matches and we have no doubt local football fans will be keen to see some of Europe’s best young talent!
“Tickets for these matches will be separate to the Multi Match Ticket and can be bought via the BuyTicket app for just £10 for adults and £6 for youths.”
