A supercomputer has predicted who will win the Champions League this season as Chelsea and Tottenham begin to plot their routes to the final. In the round of 16 first-leg, AC Milan will lock horns with Spurs at the San Siro before Borussia Dortmund face the Blues at the Signal Iduna Park.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain stand in the way of Bayern Munich, Club Brugge will face Benfica, Liverpool play Real Madrid, Eintracht Frankfurt have Napoli, Inter Milan travel to Porto and Manchester City have RB Leipzig in their sights.
Only four of the 16 sides in the first knockout stage went unbeaten in the group stages; the Premier League champions, the Ligue 1 champions, the Bundesliga champions and Benfica. While the quartet will be eager to carry their rich vein of form into the round of 16, Chelsea and Tottenham are among 12 other European giants desperate to prove their worth at the highest-level.

So, with that being said, football.london has taken a look at bettingexpert's supercomputer, BETSiE, which has predicted how the Champions League will pan out ahead of the knockout stages. And, it's certainly sent the two London outfits a wakeup call.
According to BETSiE, Bayern has a 22.27% chance of winning the Champions League this season, with Pep Guardiola's side most likely to finish runners-up (21.53%). Following the impressive performances of Chelsea target Victor Osimhen, Napoli have been tipped as the third highest chances of winning the competition with Real Madrid in fourth.
BETSiE also predicts that Liverpool (6.37%) has more of a chance to win the Champions League than Chelsea (5.13%). Jurgen Klopp's side won the tournament in 2019 before reaching the final last term where they lost to the hands of Real Madrid.
Chelsea reigned victorious in 2020 under Thomas Tuchel but the club has had quite the clear-out since. With new owners at the helm and Graham Potter in the dugout, the Blues will be eager to pursue a cup-run with top-four qualification increasingly unlikely.
The supercomputer has the least faith in Tottenham to win the Champions League, with only a 3.5% chance of doing so. Spurs reached the final in 2019 but Liverpool ran riot at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.
If it's any consolation, the north Londoners have been tipped as favourites over two legs against the Rossoneri.
