During the 90s, Bollywood made a transition of sorts from soft, melodious voices to powerful and energetic voices that were still capable of melody. Sunidhi Chauhan turned out to be one of those breakthrough voices. Her 1999 song 'Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi from 'Mast' brought her remarkable fame and the rest is history. She started her musical journey at the age of four by performing at competitions and local gatherings and also worked as a background singer. Soon, lady luck smiled at her when actress Tabassum spotted Sunidhi's singing talent and introduced the young singer to composers Kalyanji and Anandji. "Sunidhi meri khoj hai," late veteran actress Tabassum had proudly said in one of her last interviews with ETimes.
Sunidhi's career has unforgettable highlights like Sushmita Sen's 'Mehboob Mere' from 'Fiza', 'Dhoom Macha Le' featuring Esha Deol and many more. She has always been a survivor. She got married to Hitesh Sonik in 2012 and with the arrival of her son Tegh in 2018 it was like Sunidhi's life was filled with new tunes.
