Sunderland defended Bailey Wright was overjoyed to prove doubters wrong as his Australia side booked their place at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Successfully overcoming Peru via a dramatic penalty shootout on Monday evening, the Socceroos will now join France, Tunisia and Denmark in Group D.
Wright, 29, has enjoyed a superb last few months, of course recently enjoying promotion with the Black Cats to the Championship just a few short weeks ago.
