Sunderland's friendly against Rangers was abandoned at half-time due to a powercut - with the Black Cats leading 1-0.
Luke O'Nien's goal sent Sunderland in ahead at the break in the opening friendly of their trip to Portugal. O'Nien, who started at centre-back against Rangers, scored just before the half-hour from a well-worked set-piece.
But the game was called off before the second-half could kick-off, with the Estadio Municipal de Albufeira suffering a total power outage that saw the floodlights go dark.
And after a delay of around 45 minutes, eventually confirmation came that the game would not restart.
The Black Cats had been on top in the opening 45 minutes against the Europa League finalists, and could have gone in with a more comfortable cushion. This is the first real pre-season test for Alex Neil's men, and it will be followed on Wednesday with a game against Jose Mourinho's Europa Conference League winners Roma.
But, despite the game being cut short, Neil will have been pleased with that opening 45 minutes. Here's how our Sunderland writer James Hunter rated the players.
