A violent, broad-daylight brawl has sparked a police probe in Edinburgh.
Officers were called to Queensferry Street Lane just after 5.30pm on Saturday.
Footage shared with our sister title, Edinburgh Live, shows two men punching a third man near a driveway.
Horrifying clips show one man, wearing jeans and a t-shirt, cowering into the corner of the driveway.
A second man, wearing a body warmer grey tracksuit bottoms, punches the first man and ricochets his head off a wall.
Scottish Old Firm football agent in gangster crime probe
A football agent who works for Old Firm players is facing organised crime charges, the Sunday Mail can reveal.
The well known dealmaker is due to appear in a court action over his alleged gangland ties.
It is the first time an operating football agent – rebranded intermediaries in 2015 – has faced serious organised crime claims in Scotland.
But sources have warned other unscrupulous individuals are involved in the game and experts say the growth of global gambling has sparked an organised crime crisis in Scots football.
A crime insider said: “Criminals are everywhere in the game and operating in plain sight. It’s not thought the charges involve his football work but it shows you what sort of characters are involved at the highest level of the game.
Driver reported after being 'clocked at 148mph' on Scots road
A driver has been reported after allegedly being clocked at 148mph on a Scots road.
Officers swooped on the 36-year-old while they were carrying out speed checks as part of routine patrols on the A78 in Ayrshire.
Cops claim the driver "flew past them" at the "ridiculous" speed while they were on the road, which runs between Troon and Greenock.
Scotland’s only operating greyhound track 'nine times more dangerous than official venues'
Scotland’s only currently operating dog track is nine times more dangerous than official venues, campaigners have claimed.
Thornton track near Kirkcaldy is the only place to catch a race because Shawfield, near Glasgow, has been shut since lockdown.
And while Shawfield is the country’s only track approved by racing body the Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB), Thornton is an independent or “flapping” track.
It is not approved by the GBGB and means organisers don’t need to meet rules on drug testing dogs, having a vet on site for treatment or in compiling lists of injuries and deaths for racing dogs.
Biker dies after crash with car on Scots road as cops make arrest
A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a car on a Scots road.
Emergency services scrambled to the A72, near Innerleithen in the Borders, after the collision happened at around 3.50pm on Saturday, April 23.
Ambulance crews attended but the 60-year-old male rider of the motorbike was pronounced dead at the scene.
