The Met Office has extended its amber heatwave warning to more of Scotland for Monday and Tuesday with temperatures in the high 20s and low 30s expected across the eastern edge of the country.

Gerry Cinnamon's sell-out Hampden Park show is being hailed by organisers as one of the biggest shows for a Scots artist in years - and they could be right, if the reaction of fans leaving the gig on Saturday night is anything to go by.

A clip uploaded to social network TikTok last night shows hundreds of fans of the Castlemilk-born star belting out hit song Canter as they leave the venue, holding their arms aloft as they sing together. Carol Rowan, the gig-goer who uploaded the video, commented: "When you capture a moment leav[ing] the Gerry Cinnamon gig!"

Ukrainian refugees in Nicola Sturgeon Scots sponsor scheme fear becoming homeless

Ukrainian refugees who were brought to Scotland as part of a scheme launched by Nicola Sturgeon are now fearing being left in the streets with nowhere to go. About 500 are yet to be placed in permanent accommodation and are waiting in hotels which are now asking them to leave.

The Sunday Mail spoke to a group of eight refugees who fled the Russian war on Ukraine to arrive in Glasgow under the Scottish Government’s so-called “ supersponsor” scheme. They’ve just been moved out of a temporary hotel in Glasgow and into another, where they’ve no idea how long they’ll be allowed to remain.
