Nine more Gerry Cinnamon fans arrested on on second night of singer's Hampden Park shows

Another nine people were arrested at Gerry Cinnamon 's Hampden Park performance on Sunday night. It follows 13 arrests on the musician's Saturday night gig at the Glasgow stadium, bringing the total to 22 over the two shows.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said that nine people were arrested last night, including seven men and two women. They were aged between 16 and 48.

The 13 arrested on Saturday night were all men, between the ages of 16 and 53, for disorder-related offences.

Organisers for Gerry Cinnamon's two-day run of shows promised to fix ticketing issues ahead of Sunday night's gig after fans were left waiting over an hour to get in the day before.

Those who had bought tickets via promoter Music Glue three years ago - before the gig was rescheduled to due the pandemic - reported that the barcodes on their ballots were not accepted by scanners at the doors and it was causing chaos at the turnstiles.

Despite a hectic start, Gerry Cinnamon wowed crowds with his set bringing an energetic atmosphere to Glasgow that lasted well after the gig ended.

A clip uploaded to TikTok showed hundreds of fans of the Castlemilk-born star belting out hit song Canter as they left the venue, holding their arms aloft as they sing together. Carol Rowan, the gig-goer who uploaded the video, commented: "When you capture a moment leav[ing] the Gerry Cinnamon gig!"

Sunday night's performance also included Travis, Vistas and Jake Bugg in support slots.
