Sunak faces Tory rebellion amid outrage over failure to ban conversion therapy

Rishi Sunak has been warned that Tory MPs could rebel by trying to force a ban on conversion therapy through parliament amid outrage over his apparent failure to deliver on the party’s promises.

Whitehall sources indicated that the long-pledged ban will not be included in the King’s Speech on Tuesday – meaning it is unlikely to become law before the next general election.
