Celtic summer transfer target Justin Devenny scored a double on his Stoke City debut.
The Parkhead club were looking at the midfielder from Crystal Palace towards the end of the window. They were looking for a loan while the EPL side preferred a permanent deal.
That proved to be Celtic's undoing, especially as Stoke were prepared to pay £6million to take the 22-year-old off Palace's hands permanently.

The Northern Ireland international made it straight into the starting XI for today's visit of Charlton Athletic, and it was an enjoyable win as it was a 4-0 home victory.
Even better for the debutant, he scored two goals. The first was a penalty to open the scoring after 15 minutes and he later added to his account.
Scotland international George Hirst also scored for Stoke while former Dundee defender Luke Graham played at centre back.
Celtic were eyeing up Devenny as they looked to add to their midfield, with the fact he can also play at left wing-back seen as a bonus.
