Sugar Prices Tumble on Rain Forecasts for Brazil

March NY world sugar #11 (SBH25) today is down -0.52 (-2.26%), and December London ICE white sugar #5 (SWZ24) is down -8.60 (-1.49%).

Sugar prices today are sharply lower after rain forecasts for Brazil sparked long liquidation in sugar futures. Forecaster Maxar Technologies said today that substantial showers are expected this week into next week for Brazil's sugar-growing regions, which should improve moisture and crop conditions.
