Sugar Prices Surge as India Maintains Curbs on Sugar Exports

October NY world sugar #11 (SBV24) today is up +0.61 (+3.36%), and Oct London ICE white sugar #5 (SWV24) is up +16.20 (+3.15%).

Sugar prices are sharply higher today after India's Food and Commerce Ministry said it will keep its curbs on sugar exports in place to ensure adequate domestic supplies and boost India's ethanol output.
