Sugar Prices Settle Higher as India Maintains Sugar Export Restrictions

October NY world sugar #11 (SBV24) on Thursday closed up +0.43 (+2.27%), and Oct London ICE white sugar #5 (SWV24) closed up +12.10 (+2.35%).

Sugar prices rallied Thursday after India's Food and Commerce Ministry said it would keep its curbs in place on sugar exports to ensure adequate domestic supplies and boost India's ethanol output.
