Sugar Prices Gain on the Outlook for Reduced Sugar Exports from India

Oct NY world sugar #11 (SBV23) on Thursday closed up +0.44 (+1.84%), and Oct London white sugar #5 (SWV23) closed -0.10 (-0.01%).

Sugar prices Thursday mainly closed higher on carryover support from Wednesday on reports India will ban sugar exports.  Gains in sugar were limited after Unica reported Brazil's Center-South sugar output in the first half of August was up +31.2% y/y at 3.456 MMT.
